WORLD ACCREDİTATİON DAY

Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) was established in 1999 to provide accreditation of conformity assessment bodies, to ensure that these organizations operate in accordance with national and international standards, and to ensure that the documents issued by these conformity assessment bodies are accepted nationally and internationally, and provide accreditation services in our country.

TURKAK; full member of the European Accreditation (EA), International Laboratory Accreditation Co-Operation (ILAC) and International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and has signed the Multilateral Recognition Agreements (MLA - MRA) in all of its activities. In this context; The international accreditation of the Turkish Accreditation Agency has been confirmed by all relevant international organizations.

As a result of the joint initiatives of the International Laboratory Accreditation Co-Operation (ILAC) and International Accreditation Forum (IAF), each year is celebrated as "World Accreditation Day" in order to increase accreditation and quality awareness and wider accreditation. In the World Accreditation Day, where different themes are processed each year, the theme of this year is "Accreditation: Delivering Confidence in Construction and Built Environment".

Standards, conformity assessment and accreditation are well-established and accepted tools used by the construction industry to support all operators, from building owners and contractors to manufacturers, designers and architects, structural engineers to civil engineers. At the same time, policy makers, local governments and regulators are also using construction-related regulations to protect the environment, public security, fraud prevention, public confidence and innovation.
