This year, we celebrate World Accreditation Day under the theme “Innovation, Trust and Sustainability: The Power of Accreditation,” as determined by the international accreditation community.
Today, technological advancements, digital transformation and sustainability goals are shaping the future of institutions and economies. However, in this era of rapid change, the most critical factor ensuring lasting success is trust. Accreditation serves as a fundamental mechanism that establishes this trust at both national and international levels.
The effective implementation and robustness of innovation and sustainability concepts are only possible through a strong accreditation system. Therefore, accreditation is not only a cornerstone of conformity assessment activities, but also a key component of economic development, technological progress and sustainable growth.
As TÜRKAK, we continue our digital transformation efforts with determination in order to make accreditation services more effective, faster and more accessible. Through the digital applications we have implemented in recent years, we have made our processes more transparent, traceable and user-oriented.
Following the launch of our new ASİST portal, one of our most significant projects this year has been the development of an AI-supported infrastructure and institutional chatbot application, fully designed and implemented using our own resources and capabilities. This system will support audit planning, decision-making processes and document provision, and will also be made available to the public.
This application will be introduced under the name “asist-an”, providing next-generation support to accreditation processes. As a key component of our digital transformation vision, this initiative will accelerate access to information, enhance user experience and enable more efficient management of processes.
Accreditation is a strategic tool that supports change, transformation and innovation, promotes sustainability, safeguards public health and reinforces confidence in quality. As it does today, accreditation will continue to be one of the fundamental pillars of economic development, international trade and societal trust in the future. This is because building a reliable future depends on a strong quality infrastructure and an effective accreditation system.
With the hope that this new phase we have initiated in digital transformation and artificial intelligence will be beneficial, I would like to thank all contributors, organisations and stakeholders within the accreditation ecosystem, and I sincerely celebrate World Accreditation Day on 9 June.
