After graduating from Ankara Tevfik Fikret High School, Banu Müderrisoğlu completed her undergraduate education at Ankara University, Faculty of Communication. Then, Müderrisoğlu continued her MA program in Sociology at Middle East Technical University, Institute of Social Sciences. Later, she won the Chevening Scholarship and completed her MA at London City University. Müderrisoğlu participated in various education and workshop programs in France, Luxembourg and Jordan with national and international scholarships.
Müderrisoğlu, who started her career in journalism in 2002, worked in different institutions and organizations in the private sector in Turkey and abroad. Since 2007, she has undertaken managerial duties in corporate communication at TOBB University of Economics and Technology and international organizations.
In the fields of media communication, employment, civil society and public diplomacy; Müderrisoğlu carried out management and implementation tasks in international projects supported by the United Nations Development Fund and/or the European Union, serving many public institutions, including the Ministry of European Union, the Ministry of Family and Social Policies, the Union of Municipalities, the Ministry of Interior, and the General Staff.
Müderrisoğlu also serves as a Board Member of the Turkish Higher Education Qality Council (YÖKAK) and National Aviation Industry Committee (MİHENK).
Müderrisoğlu was born in Ankara in 1977 and has a good command of English and French.
