Banu Müderrisoğlu graduated from Ankara Private Tevfik Fikret High School and completed her undergraduate studies at Ankara University, Faculty of Communication. She pursued postgraduate studies in Sociology at the Middle East Technical University, Institute of Social Sciences, and subsequently earned an MA in International Relations from City University of London with a Merit degree as a recipient of the Chevening Scholarship. Throughout her academic career, she participated in various advanced training and workshop programs in France, Luxembourg, and Jordan, supported by national and international scholarships.

Beginning her professional career in 2002, Ms. Müderrisoğlu has held positions in diverse private-sector institutions both in Türkiye and abroad. She worked as a journalist for Sabah Newspaper’s Economy Desk and the BBC Turkish Service, and assumed senior executive roles in corporate communications and strategic communications management at TOBB University of Economics and Technology as well as at various international organizations.

She has performed management and implementation responsibilities in numerous international projects supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and/or the European Union, particularly in the fields of media, corporate communications, employment policies, civil society, and public diplomacy. In this context, she has served as a technical expert or team leader in projects carried out for a wide range of public institutions and civil society organizations, including—among others—the Ministry for EU Affairs, the Ministry of Family and Social Policies, the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye, the Ministry of Interior, and the General Staff.

Serving as the Secretary General of TÜRKAK since 2019, Ms. Müderrisoğlu is also a Board Member of the Council of Higher Education Quality (YÖKAK) and the National Aviation Industry Committee (MİHENK), contributing to the strengthening of governance and the national quality infrastructure.

Born in Ankara in 1977, Banu Müderrisoğlu is fluent in English and French.
