TÜRKAK’s Activities in the Field of International Aviation and Space Quality Group Are Also Included in the Scope of the IAF Multilateral Recognition Agreement

TÜRKAK's activities in the AS9100 standard series, which is the sub-scope of the International Aerospace Quality Group, also gained recognition within the scope of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) MLA (Multilateral Recognition Agreement) on February 15, 2024. Thus, TÜRKAK gained recognition in another level 5 field and expanded the scope of IAF.

TÜRKAK has been actively participating in the work to establish the EN/AS 9100 series certification and accreditation infrastructure within SAHA Istanbul (Defence, Aerospace Cluster Association) since 2018 and is one of the important stakeholders of MİHENK (National Aviation Industry Committee). With its activities in this field, TÜRKAK received international recognition in September 2022 by the European Aerospace and Defense Quality Group (EAQG), which is the European sector of the program owner International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG).

During this process, TÜRKAK was subject to office and witness inspections by the European Aerospace and Defense Quality Group (EAQG), the European sector of the International Aerospace and Defense Quality Group (IAQG). With the completion of the assessment reports, TÜRKAK's activities were unanimously accepted at the EAQG Certification Oversight Team (COT) meeting held in Zurich on September 21, 2022. In this way, TÜRKAK became the 14th authorized and recognized accreditation institution in the world to provide the accreditation of organizations that certify in the AS 9100 series (AS 9100, AS 9110 and AS 9120) Aviation, Space and Defense Industry Quality Management Systems (HUS QMS).

Following these processes, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the IAF and IAQG in the second half of 2023, approving the IAQG Certification Program as a sub-scope of the IAF MLA, as a result of the votes cast by the accreditation bodies.
